The perfect venue for weddings, family gatherings, parties and team building.
Seating for up to 200.
You hire the facility exclusively and you are welcome to make the venue your own.
You can bring your own caterers and provide all your own food and drinks.
Please note a bond is required to secure all bookings in case of damage, breakages or cleaning issues that may happen during the booking.
Cleaner is available for $200 – enquire when booking.
No dogs are allowed on site. No smoking or vaping inside.

Bringing the community together
The Gladstone Sports and Social Complex is situated on Gladstone Road, just after the Gladstone Inn, in the middle of the Carterton district.
Set amongst farmland with beautiful views, the Complex is not only home to a number of local sports clubs but it can also be hired out for parties, weddings and other events. Lots of parking, a large hall (with sound system), a kitchen, toilets as well as a bar area (with chiller). The hall can be fitted out with the ‘silks’ which transform it into an indoor marquee ready for your creative touches!
Outside, there are playing fields and tennis courts and the Ruamahunga River flows next to the playing fields. It is a five-minute walk to the neighbouring Gladstone Inn and over the road is the Gladstone Gun Club.
Freedom camping is possible at the Gladstone Reserve on the other side of the river.
HISTORY
The Complex was built by the Gladstone community in 1979 and is run as an incorporated society by an elected committee from the area. Operating costs are covered by donations from the community, hireage fees and fundraising events such as community balls, quiz nights and other functions.

Community contributions
The Complex is a community owned sports and social amenity that has to generate revenue to cover running costs like insurance, maintenance and power. Our Rugby, Badminton, Tennis, Netball and Hockey clubs all pay annual fees and we are very grateful for their support.
Locals are warmly encouraged to become members for an annual fee of $50 for a family or $25 for individuals. Your contribution will help keep this great community asset up and running.
